The house is upside down with the main living spaces located on the first floor. The huge picture window slides back for an uninterrupted panoramic sea view.
On the ground floor there is a panelled entrance area with a large window and boot room off it. The entrance area leads to a long corridor with a utility room, 2 kids rooms, each of the kids bedrooms has access to a private planted courtyard that leads to the main garden. There is a shower room and bathroom and guest room with a bespoke bunk space. The master suite sits at the end of the corridor with sea views across the wildflower meadow. There is a dressing room and ensuite bathroom and direct access to the garden.
The first floor has a large open plan kitchen, living, dining space with a large stone island. It has a loft, warehouse vibe with track lighting, acoustic ceiling and polished concrete floors. The kitchen is industrial style. There are large opening roof lights and a huge sliding window that looks out to sea. The house is eco with underfloor heating throughout, air source heat pump, MVHR and solar panels. It is constructed of wood and steel with exposed steel beams in the main space and polished concrete floor throughout. Many of the items have been reused and reclaimed, old doors from Antwerp city hall, reclaimed stone for the fireplace, fixtures and fittings reused throughout.
