The Organ Factory is the former workshop of Mander Organs, one of Britains most celebrated pipe organ restorers and builders.
The site was fully restored in 2023 and now offers three distinct studio spaces for commercial photography and filming, and events.
The Organ Factory, originally a school built in 1840, is situated close to Columbia Road, Hackney City Farm and Broadway Market on the edge of Shoreditch, Hackney and Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. It is situated to the left of the magnificent St Peter's Church in St Peter's Square.
The main building comprises of three main large spaces:
- The Chapel Studio (second floor) - 1200sq ft daylight studio with adjoining drawing office - 260sq ft.
- The Mill (ground floor) - 1200sq ft shoot / event space with additional adjoining bar - 200sq ft.
- The Main Hall (ground floor) - 2450sq ft, with voicing shop for HMU or additional working space, loading bay, and production office (mezzanine).
The spaces are displayed in this order in our listing. Each of the spaces have their own very unique characteristics, as can be seen in the images. There are some ancillary and communal spaces shown in our images so please highlight specifically which areas are of interest so that we can provide an accurate quotation.
There is also the benefit of an onsite cafe.
