Shoot & Stay
The Gatehouse
Location: West Sussex, BN45
Built in 1920 and then converted and renovated in 2019, this former barn and stables is now a stunning family home stretching to 6,500 sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and incredible landscaped gardens. Formed around a central courtyard this country location property features spacious open living spaces with beautifully crafted interiors. Styled with tasteful, minimal pieces and showcasing the use of natural materials.
The lofty living spaces have exposed oak beams and towering ceiling heights up to 6m in the apex. The floors are polished concrete throughout and the walls are lime plaster. The arched crittal windows and doors create a real focal point and the shape is echoed in the connection between the living and dining space. In addition to the main house is a separate guesthouse with its own kitchen. This space can be added to a booking for use as a green room, or as accommodation for shoot and stay, but will not be included as standard. Please discuss options when enquiring.
The Vicarage
Location: Buckinghamshire, LU7
A charming village location house packed with traditional features. The house dates back to the mid-17th century, with subsequent early Victorian additions, and more recently in the form of the orangery style kitchen. There is a large pretty garden, a separate restored former Coach House and an outdoor swimming pool.
Internally the house boasts original features such as window shutters, marble fireplaces, and secret stairs and wine cellars. The Coach House even has an original horses’ manger. It is possible to paint and decorate in most areas of the house should this be required, providing that those areas can be returned to the condition it was found. For smaller shoots, overnight accommodation can be provided for an additional fee.
Hillside
Location: Sevenoaks, TN8
Hillside is a 5 bed, 2000 square foot architect designed eco-house, inspired by the form of a Scandinavian barn. The house runs on 100% renewable energy, and can comfortably accommodate 14 guests for ‘shoot and stay’ option if required.
Inside is a double-height vaulted ceiling to the living space, and one of the master bedroom suites has a mezzanine balcony overlooking this space. The other master suite has a striking freestanding black bath. The interior finishes offer a mixture of interesting textures and finishes; floors are either concrete or beautiful wide ash boards, elsewhere you’ll find unfinished pink plaster, micro-cement and terrazzo bathrooms, timber slatted ceilings and walls, and an OSB dorm room with inside climbing wall and fireman’s pole.
Ludlow House
Location: Shropshire, SY8
Beautiful Queen Ann house set in large rambling gardens with old stone paths, rolling lawns, old topiary, wooded area, brook, paddock and tennis court. The house is full of character with original wide oak floor boards and working fire places in the majority of rooms. Natural light floods the house filling the airy, large rooms.
There are eight spacious bedrooms decorated in a mix of distressed antique Swedish and French farmhouse furniture. The majority of bathrooms have original fittings, roll-top baths and working fireplaces. The house is full of a mixture of quirky vintage and antique objects, vintage industrial objects and distressed antique French and Swedish farm-house furniture.
Spencer
Location: Ramsgate, CT11
This is an attractive Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, close to the centre of Ramsgate, and situated within a prestigious square setting. The entrance hall leads to the sitting room. With windows to both the front and rear elevations, the room has high ceilings, original stained floorboards, period details and two fireplaces. A rear door leads out to a small courtyard at the back of the house.
On the lower ground floor is an open plan kitchen, dining room and snug. Glazed doors open to a second small covered courtyard. On the first floor is the master bedroom and house bathroom. The master has beautiful tall windows with views over the square. The bathroom is large with a centrally positioned roll top bath and separate walk in shower. On the second floor is a further two double bedrooms, one with small en-suite.
